It is a little hard to describe what exactly is the attracting factor -- May be the color range coupled with smooth distribution -- I agree that it is like a dyed shirt -- In my opinion if you were experimenting with subtly colored ribbons and flower petals, the result could have been much more interesting -- Keep tweaking!
